IIT Kharagpur has procured the high value sophisticated equipment from the fund sanctioned by DST for the creation of SATHI-IIT Kharagpur, which has been transferred to SATHI Foundation IIT Kharagpur (a Section 8, not for profit company of IIT Kharagpur) for the professional management of the SATHI-IIT Kharagpur centre with a view to provide the best-in-class services to the users of our facility. SATHI Foundation IIT Kharagpur hired professional man power for the optimal and efficient utilization of the major equipment facilities. NABL accreditation will be taken for the instruments required for providing analytical and certification services to the industry. SATHI Foundation is organizing awareness and training programs to sensitize the potential users of the facility so as to encourage them to use it. It also connects the potential user with the experts in the IIT Kharagpur related to each instrument. SATHI Foundation IIT Kharagpur is also planning to form a cluster in the region to develop the Science and Technology through hub and spoke model.
