Two day Hands on Training Program will be organized by SATHI IIT Kharagpur on Advance Methods of Mechanical Testing using Universal Testing Machine (UTM) at High-Temperature and Controlled Environment on 27-28th August 2026.

Training Details


A versatile universal testing machine (model Kappa 50 SS-CF, 50 kN, manufacturer: M/s ZwickRoell Testing Systems GmbH, Austria) capable of carrying out a variety of mechanical tests (tensile, compression, 3-point bend, creep tensile, creep fatigue , creep compression, creep crack growth, stress rupture, stress- and strain-controlled fatigue, creep-fatigue interaction) at both ambient and elevated temperatures up to 1500ï‚°C in vacuum or inert atmosphere. The types of materials which can be tested include metals and alloys, ceramics, graphite, intermetallics, composites and coatings, polymer, and functionally graded materials.
